Charminar – The Landmark of Hyderabad |

The Charminar is the most remarkable establishment of Hyderabad which is constructed by Mohammad Quli Qutb in 1591. It is an elegant edifice established at the heart of the city and is counted among the fine work of artisans during the rule of Qutab Shahi.
It is believed that Qutab Shahi ordered to build this minar in order to celebrate the end of the plaque raging that time. This structure is beautifully made in granite, lime, mortar and pulverized marble.
Charminar is a square shaped structure with four magnificent soaring minarets at four corner of the square. The large monument is 24 meter in height with each minaret with a height of 20 meter from the roof of Charminar. Four slender storeys crowned one over the other has resulted in a spectacular minaret tapering a little at the pinnacle. Thus, the total height of Charminar comprises to 48.7 meters above the ground.
The whole structure is diligently made with fine carvings. Charminar has a mosque and 45 praying spaces, where people can offer prayers being in a quite and peaceful environment. The view of illuminated monument in the evening is breathtaking.
